bell+funk started with a philosophy and a desire to build the kind of place where we’d like to work. We had each been part of other agencies—Jen in San Francisco, and David here in Eugene—and had a sense of what we did and didn’t like. We put them into the philosophy statement above and got to work looking for “good clients to work with on good projects.” And we found them. We partner with clients that provide vital services like public transportation, utilities, and affordable health care. We collaborate with organizations that promote environmental stewardship. And we work with people that are working to ensure a healthy and vibrant downtown. Because downtown is our home, too. In the end, we built a workplace in a community that we love. That’s our idea of success.
